STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – FDU (3-8, 2-2) could not overcome a slow start in a 16-9 loss at Wagner (3-5, 3-1) on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks came out swinging on their home turf. They built a 7-2 lead in the first period. The Knights answered with an
Adriana Mavlios goal to make it 7-3 before the first period buzzer sounded.

Wagner outscored FDU 4-3 in the second period and extended their lead to five at halftime.
Riley Eaton scored two first half goals. The junior has now scored in three-straight games and is building some steady production. She has seven goals in those three games, after being held scoreless in four consecutive games prior to this stretch.
Despite being very impressive in recent weeks, the FDU defense could not slow down Wagner. They outscored FDU 5-1 in the third period and put the game out of reach.
