TEANECK, N.J. – FDU women's lacrosse (2-7, 1-1) picked up a 17-8 victory over Howard (0-8, 0-2) at home on Saturday afternoon. The Knights climb back to .500 in conference play with the victory.
Multiple Knights contributed to the win at University Stadium.
Karly Dillabough and
Riley Eaton each scored four goals, while
Nora Codianni recorded a hat-trick.
Adriana Mavlios posted a season-high six points with two goals and four assists.
Brielle McInaw also recorded a hat-trick and added two assists.
McInaw 's and Dillabough's performances continued stellar seasons. Dillabough leads the team with 18 goals and has scored in five-straight games. McInaw has 17 goals and has recorded hat-tricks in back-to-back games.
It was all Knights throughout this game. They led 4-1 after the first period and 10-2 at halftime. The Bison never came closer than six in the second half.
In addition to providing offense, Codianni also came to play defensively. She picked up four ground balls, caused two turnovers and controlled five draws. She was joined by
Laura Mancinelli who caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls.
FDU was 19-21 on clears and turned it over just nine times.
