TEANECK, N.J. – A second quarter run lifted Rhode Island (3-2) past FDU (1-3) by a score of 14-7 on Saturday afternoon in Teaneck.
The Knights were led by
Brielle McInaw and
Adriana Mavlios, who both scored two goals. McInaw also added an assist. She has scored in three of four games this season and sits at six goals on the year.
Nora Codianni extended her goal-streak to four games with a goal in the fourth quarter.
The Knights struck first in this game and held a 3-2 lead after the first quarter. However, their momentum was halted by four unanswered goals from Rhode Island in the second frame. The visitors led 6-3 at halftime.
The teams traded goals in the third period resulting in a 9-5 score at the end of three. FDU could not cut the deficit any closer in the fifth as they dropped a second-straight game at home.

Skylar Goodman finished with eight saves.
The game was fairly even in the stat-sheet. Rhode Island slightly edged FDU in the shots on goal categories, putting four more attempts on target.
