TEANECK, N.J. – FDU women's lacrosse fell to Manhattan in their 2025 home opener by a score of 5-2. The Knights drop to 1-2 on the season.
Maeve Chamberlin struck for her first goal of the season on a free position shot midway through the second period. This leveled the score at 1-1.
Manhattan scored two unanswered and led 3-1 at the break.
FDU struggled offensively in the second half. Manhattan extended their lead to 5-1, before
Nora Codianni scored on a free position shot late in the fourth quarter.
Codianni has scored in every game this season and sits at five total goals on the year.
Despite the loss, FDU played a strong game defensively. They caused five turnovers, led by Codianni who had five.
Skylar Goodman also made a season-high 11 saves.
