BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU women's basketball was well represented in the latest NEC Weekly Awards, released by the conference on Monday afternoon. Madlena Gerke was named the NEC Player of the Week. Leah Crosby earned NEC Rookie of the Week honors.
Gerke's honor comes following a 23-point explosion in the Knights' 72-41 win over Delaware State. The graduate student's 23 points led all players in the win. Gerke knocked down a remarkable six threes in the effort, lighting up the perimeter in Hackensack. She held things down on the defensive end as well, picking up two steals and two blocks. It is the first Player of the Week honor for Gerke in 2025-26.

Crosby scored ten points and grabbed 11 boards in just 20 minutes of game action. She blocked two shots and picked up a steal as well.
Gerke was named an NEC Prime Performer for her efforts as well.
