BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU baseball's junior
Patrick Gardner was announced Tuesday as the Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Week. This is Gardner's first Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
The Staten Island, N.Y. product put together an impressive outing against Delaware State on Friday, March 5. Gardner threw a complete game shutout only allowing two hits. He faced 31 batters and put away 11 by strikeout to help the Knights secure a 5-0 win over the Hornets.
The junior logged an impressive .666 WHIP for the game. 11 strikeouts marks a career-high for Gardner. This was his longest outing of his career.
FDU baseball will travel to Penn State on April 9 to take on the Nittany Lions. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed on Big Ten +.
