Fast Start Pushes Knights to Second Victory of 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jordan Santana and Riley Eaton combined for 10 goals in FDU's 15-5 victory over Howard on Saturday afternoon. The win marks the first-ever road victory for the Knights as they near the end of the program's second season. FDU now sits at 2-12 overall and improves to 2-7 in NEC play. Howard remains winless in 2024.
 
This match was all Knights from the jump. Eaton scored two of her five goals in the first quarter and helped FDU build a 4-0 lead in the game's opening fifteen minutes.
 
Eaton's 28 goals in 2024 mark a new single-season record for FDU. She leads the team in the team in both goals and points (42). The sophomore dished out two assists in the match, as well.
 
Santana extended her point streak to 14 games with a five-goal performance of her own. The graduate student now sits at 21 goals on the season.
 
The game was capped off by the first goal of Mackenzie Gidden's FDU career, which came in the final minutes.
 
Freshmen Karly Dillabough and Nora Codianni both continued to thrive in their roles as stat-sheet-stuffers. Dillabough won six draw controls, scooped up five ground balls, and caused two turnovers. Codianni also won six draws and collected five ground balls. All these totals marked season-highs for the pair of Knights.
 
Abigail McDonald set a career-high with three caused turnovers. In total, the Knights caused nine turnovers.
 
Skylar Goodman picked up her second goalkeeper win of the season with six saves and a strong save percentage of 54.5.

The Knights will conclude their season on the road at LIU on April 24. The first draw control is set for 3 p.m. and will air on NEC Front Row.
