BOSTON, Mass. – FDU's
Salif Mane completed the first of two events in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships earlier today earning Second Team All-American. Mane competed in the men's long jump, an event he was ranked 16
th coming into the meet. His first jump saw the highest mark of the three attempts, with an impressive 7.56m. His second two attempts were not enough to top the mark and Mane finished the event in tenth place.
Salif will be back in action tomorrow (03/09) at 3:30 p.m. for the men's triple jump. He comes into the meet tied at second place with Florida State's Jeremiah Davis, both having a season-best mark of 16.69m. Tune in to ESPN+ to catch Mane's chase for his first NCAA gold medal.
