STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – FDU took on Wagner in a road game that resulted in a Knights win of 59-51. With today's win the Knights improve to 10-5 in NEC play and 12-16 overall.
The Knights shot an impressive 48.1% from the floor and went 8-22 (36.4%) from three. Gaitley's bunch continues to impress with their defense as they held the Seahawks to single-digit scoring in the second period.
The Burgundy and Blue kept the stat sheet balanced with three players scoring in double-figures:
Teneisia Brown (17),
Staci Williams (14),
Abby Conklin (13).
FDU outscored Wagner in three of four periods in today's win. The Knights found consistent production from three by Williams and Conklin. The Burgundy and Blue drained eight total shots from deep with Williams accounting for four and Conklin with three.
Lilly Parke was the only other Knight to land a triple in the contest for FDU.
The Knights found strength holding the Seahawks to two made threes. FDU tightened up their perimeter control only allowing Wagner to go 2-13 from deep.
Going into the half, FDU led by 11 as a result of Brown going 5-9 from the floor. The senior forward/center led the Knights in the first half with ten points and five rebounds. Brown ended the night one rebound shy of her ninth double-double of the season.
The second half was powered by Williams and Conklin collecting eight points each for the Knights, picking up two threes each. Ultimately, FDU secured the win over Wagner 59-51.

FDU is back in action on Thursday, March 7 where they will travel to Central Connecticut to take on the Blue Devils. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and will be available for streaming on NEC Front Row.
