TOWSON, MD. – Men's and women's track and field opened the outdoor season today, heading to Towson for the Tiger Season Opener. It was a successful day for the Knights, who saw 28 top 10 finishes, including first place in the triple jump by
Jashad Kersey and the men's 3000m steeple by
Trevor Ehrlicher.

Xavier Hayletts placed seventh in the men's 100m with a time of 11.07

Anaya Lowder finished ninth in the women's 100m with a time of 12.74
-Freshman
Rilwan Olunlade placed sixth in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 16.56

Tata Coulibaly took home fourth in the women's 200m with a time of 25.74

Onnieka Rolle and Anaya Loweder also competed in the 200, placing sixth and seventh

Tele Abe placed fourth in the men's 400m hurdles
-Junior
Meghan Porter placed eleventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:14.65
-Sophomore
Luis Abreu finished sixth in the men's 1500, followed by freshman
Brandon Barreto who placed eighth

Trevor Ehrlicher finished first in the men's 3000m steeple with a time of 10:26.65
-Senior
Ahmed Brown placed fourteenth in the men's discus with a mark of 32.95m
-Freshman
Darien Cade made his collegiate hammer throw debut, placing twelve with a mark of 33.51
-Freshmen
Tata Coulibaly and
Nilaja Wiltshire participated in the hammer throw, placing seventh and sixteenth respectively

Christian Mercado placed fourth in the men's high jump with 1.70m

Darien Cade and
Dane Theuerkauf placed seventh and tenth in the men's javelin throw with marks of 48.91m and 40.32m
-Sophomore
Ella Johnson completed the women's javelin throw with a sixth place finish
-Freshmen
Zander Romero,
Jashad Kersey and
Christian Mercado all completed the men's long jump, placing third, sixth and seventh

Amiyah Williams took home fifth place in the women's long jump with her distance of 5.21m

Nilaja Wiltshire had an impressive performance in the women's shot put, finishing second with a mark of 12.88m

Jashad Kersey took home first place in the men's triple jump with an impressive 13.67m mark
-Freshman
Myles Taylor came second to Kersey in the long jump with a distance of 13.10m
-The men's 4x100m relay of
Julian Jamison,
Tele Abe,
Daniel Chambers and
Xavier Hayletts placed second with a time of 43.46
-The women's 4x100m relay of
Onnieka Rolle,
Tata Coulibaly,
Akayla Morris and
Amiyah Williams also placed second, with a time of 48.70.
