FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Four-time All-American
Salif Mane traveled to the University of Arkansas on Saturday to showcase his talents at the Tyson Invitational.
Mane made the trek down south to participate in his signature event; the triple jump. The Bronx, N.Y. Native posted a season best 16.51m jump. It took the two-time indoor All-American only one attempt to take home first place at the Tyson Invitational.
The rest of the field in Arkansas was no match for Mane as Sean Dixon-Bodie from Florida placed second with a 16.07m jump. Only three participants jumped within a full meter of Mane's winning distance.
Mane will be back in action at 8 a.m. at the NEC Championship which take place February 18th and 19th. The conference championship will be hosted at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, N.Y. where Mane holds the facility's indoor triple jump record with a distance of 16.72m. Knights fans can watch Mane defend his triple jump title on NEC Front Row or follow along to the results on the Ocean Breeze official website.
