Track Completes Successful Weekend at the Bison Open and Multi

LEWISBURG, PA. – FDU Men's and Women's Track and Field headed to Bucknell University this weekend to compete in the 25th Annual Bison Open and Multi. The weekend proved successful for the Knights who had 16 top 10 finishes.
 
"Great two days of competition for all groups." Said Elia G. Stratis Head Coach of Cross Country, Track and Field, Wesley Stephens, "Our throws and jumps groups had a tremendous weekend with 6 personal bests across the two throws. Looking forward to the beginning of championship season next Friday at METS"
 
-Graduate Student Onnieka Rolle had an impressive showing in the Women's 60m prelims with a qualifying time of 7.99. She placed fourth in the finals, improving her time by .04 seconds
-Freshman Tata Coulibaly had an outstanding weekend in the Women's Pentathlon, placing first in the 60m Hurdles, 10th in the 800m, fourth in the High Jump, fourth in the Long Jump and second in the Shot Put. She finished third overall in the Pentathlon
-Junior Andree Celestin placed seventh in the Women's 60m Hurdles with a time of 9.54 as well as eight in the Women's Long Jump with an impressive mark of 5.19m
-Junior Duane Kizer finished third in the Men's 60m Hurdles with an IC4A qualifying time of 8.32
-Freshman Anaya Lowder placed sixth in the Women's 200m with a time of 25.99 and 14th in the Women's 400m with a time of 1:03.88
-Freshman Anthony Massari and Graduate Student Raul Esteves tied the Men's 200m in 13th place with a time of 23.08
-Freshman Ekuyami Conteh, Terry Scott and Tele Abe all participated in the Men's 500m, placing 9th, 10th and 15th respectively.
-Freshman Jashad Kersey, Zander Romero and Christian Mercado competed in the Men's Long Jump with distances of 6.53m, 6.10m and 5.98m respectively
-Senior Ahmed Brown finished the Men's Shot Put with a strong mark of 14.83m
-Freshman Amiyah Williams and Junior Taliyah Furtick participated in the Women's Triple Jump with distances of 10.80m and 9.86m
-The Men's 4x400m Relay of Duane Kizer, Anthony Massari, Ekuyami Conteh and Dean Joseph placed sixth with a time of 3:33.76
-The Men's Distance Medley consisting of Brandon Barreto, Dean Joseph, Ekuyami Conteh and Trevor Ehrlicher placed tenth with a time of 10:50.44
 
The Knights look ahead to METS, taking place in Staten Island, N.Y. at Ocean Breeze Complex on February 2nd.
