New Brunswick NJ-The Knights had another action-packed weekend of split meets, with most of the team competing at the Rutgers Relays in Bauer Track & Field Complex.
Marie Etong Ntonga showed off her incredible talent by clinching third place in the triple jump with a final attempt of 11.71 meters. Kenroy Ellis didn't disappoint either, finishing fourth overall in the 400 hurdles with a speedy 56.71 finishing time.
Sophomore Ahmed Brown put on a stunning performance by earning third place in the Shot Put with a whopping 17.87-meter throw - a personal best by over two meters! Brown also proved his worth in the hammer throw, where he set another nearly four-meter personal record of 41.45 meters.
On Friday senior Tahj Mullings threw 48.64 meters in the Discus, finishing fifth in the event. He then came back on Saturday earning fifth place in the hammer throw with a 49.60-meter effort.
Sophomore Dajae Semelfort broke his own personal record by throwing 35.01 meters in the discus, a seven-meter improvement from his previous best.
The Knights also saw some fresh faces in the 100-meter race, with Joshua Joji making his debut with a solid run of 12.51 seconds. Kervens Alverio also recorded his first 100-meter time, finishing within 13.12 seconds.
With the split-squad weekends now behind them, the Knights are preparing to be reuKnighted for the NEC Championships, which will be hosted by Merrimack in North Andover, Massachusetts on May 6th and 7th. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting team!
