TOKYO, JAPAN - FDU Track Alum and 2024 Triple Jump National Champion
Salif Mane advanced to the Triple Jump Finals at the Word Athletic Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Mane jumped a distance of 16.86 meters (55.31 feet) Wednesday morning, placing 10th in the qualification section of the event, and sixth in his heat. The leap marked one of Mane's best of the season. Mane came into the meet ranked as the best triple jump athlete in the United States, and he was also the only American to advance to the final section of the Men's Triple Jump at the World Athletic Championships. Wednesday's advancement to the finals marks Mane's second global event in a row where he has advanced to a final.

Mane will next compete in the final section of the Men's Triple Jump final at the World Athletic Championships on Friday, starting at 7:50 a.m. eastern time.
