TOKYO, JAPAN - 2024 Triple Jump National Champion and FDU alum
Salif Mane is set to compete in the 2025 World Athletic Championships this upcoming week in Tokyo.
The Men's Triple Jump event will open with the qualifying session on Wednesday, September 17th at 6:05 a.m. If Mane were to make it through to the final section, that event would take place on September 19th at 7:05 a.m.
In the current World Athletic Rankings, Mane ranks as the 10th best triple jumper in the world, and the best triple jumper in the United States.
Mane last competed in August at the 2025 United States Championships, where he placed in 2nd, after jumping a distance of 17.15 meters.
Mane competed for FDU from 2020–2024, and in that time as a Knight, Mane was a seven-time All-American, a United States Champion, and an NEC Indoor and Outdoor Champion in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
