Mane Shines in Albuquerque, Earns First Team All-American Spot After Second-Place Finish

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - FDU men's track and field senior Salif Mane continued to dazzle in the jumps pit as the Knight finished second at the 2022-23 NCAA Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships, his second-straight trip to nationals.

The 2022-23 Northeast Conference triple jump champion and Most Valuable Performer earned a First Team All-American spot after a whopping 16.79 meter jump - breaking his own personal best and program record on the banks of the Hackensack. Arkansas' Jaydon Hibbert took the top prize, while Owayne Owens of Virignia rounded out the top-three finishers on the podium.

Mane was the only mid-major triple jumper to finish in the top 10 among the nation's best as nine of the 10 top performers were from the likes of the ACC, Big Ten, SEC and Big 12 conferences.

This was Mane's first Indoor Track and Field All-American award after earning a Second Team All-American at the 2022 Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the triple jump event.

Continuing a string of remarkable performances, Mane under the tutelage of jumps of Leroy Solomon never ceases to amaze as the Bronx, N.Y. product cruised to four medals - three gold and one silver - at the NEC meet last month.
