Knights to Host Lady Rebels in Thursday Matinee

HACKENSACK, N.J. – After a ten-day excursion, returns to the court to face (RV) UNLV on Thursday, December 21 in front of a home crowd at Stratis Arena starting at 12:30 p.m. The Knights are aiming to improve to 3-9 overall with a win over the Lady Rebels.

Fans can stream all of the action on the YES Network. 

LAST TIME OUT 
The Knights last saw the court on Monday December 11 at Seton Hall as they fell to the Pirates 67-27. FDU was led by Staci Williams, who scored eight points, and Bella Toomey, who grabbed eight boards. 

CONKLIN SEARCHING FOR 30 
Abby Conklin currently sits at 29 made threes on the season. The Irvington product was held off the board from deep by Seton Hall but continues her search for number 30 against (RV) UNLV. Conklin's next triple will mark a career-high as the guard hit 29 last season. 

LEADING THE PACK 
Teneisia Brown is putting up numbers for the Knights as she leads FDU in both scoring with 112 points and in rebounds with 66 boards. Brown averages just over ten points and six rebounds per game. 

BEHIND ENEMY LINES 
The reigning Mountain West Champions UNLV are an impressive 9-1 on the year. They are coming off their first loss of the year after they fell to Seton Hall by a score of 84-54. The Lady Rebels average 81.4 points per game and allow 60.6. 
 

SCOUT'S CORNER 
The Knights will be keyed in on the Lady Rebels' Desi-Rae Young and Alyssa Durazo-Frescas. Young leads UNLV with 177 points, 90 rebounds, and 20 steals. Durazo-Frescas is a threat from downtown as she is currently shooting 32-for-71 (45.1%) from beyond the arc. Both have started in every game played up until this point. 

PACING THE SIDELINES 
Head coach Lindy La Rocque is in her fourth season as coach of the Lady Rebels. La Rocque has been named Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year twice in 2021 and 2023. 
 

MATCH-UP HISTORY 
This match up marks the first time in history the Knights will face the Lady Rebels. 

WHAT'S NEXT 
FDU is back in action on Friday, December 29th on the road against Vanderbilt. The game is set for a 6:30 p.m. CT tip-off at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.
