Sarnoff Named Special Assistant to the Athletic Director

FDU's sports information director for the past two-and-a-half years, Sarnoff is promoted to new role

HACKENSACK, N.J. - FDU Senior Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Bradford Hurlbut announced Friday the elevation of Director of Athletic Media Relations Jordan Sarnoff to the position of Special Assistant to the Athletic Director. Sarnoff graduates from FDU's International School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport Management with a Bachelor of Arts degree after the fall semester.

As a freshman, Sarnoff served as the athletic media relations contact for women's bowling, men's soccer and softball. Over the last three years, Sarnoff became the Director of Media Relations, overseeing all media relations responsibilities for the department and becoming the youngest-ever NCAA Division I men's basketball primary contact. Sarnoff added event staffing, management of the communications budget, replay review, statistics/ recordkeeping, and day-to-day operations of the athletic media relations office to his duties with the new role.

During the 2022-23 season, Sarnoff led the execution of the media strategy for the Knights' March Madness run in men's basketball which resulted in four billion social media impressions, key appearances on CBS Sports' "Inside College Basketball," ABC's "Good Morning America," NBC's the "TODAY Show" and on network affiliates in the New York market, in addition to pieces in print and online publications such as the New York Post, CBSSports.com, ESPN, Star-Ledger/NJ.com and the Record/NorthJersey.com, among others.

In the summer of 2023, Sarnoff was the driving force behind FDU's historic multi-game basketball broadcast agreement with the YES Network, leading to eight FDU basketball games hitting the airwaves of the top regional sports network (RSN) in the U.S.

This past year, Sarnoff was a member of the NCAA Men's Final Four National Media Coordination Committee for the championship in Houston, Texas.

Sarnoff has garnered accolades within the industry as a member of the 2023 CSC 30 Under 30 class (Nov. 2023) and as part of the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce '50' Under 30 program (April 2023).
