HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU Athletics  and Toyota of Hackensack have announced a multi-year extension of their strategic partnership, building on a successful relationship that began in 2024. The renewed agreement represents a significant investment in FDU Athletics and will further strengthen the connection between the Knights, Toyota of Hackensack and the Bergen County community.

"We are extremely excited for this next phase of our partnership with Toyota of Hackensack," said FDU Senior Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Jason Young. "Their presence in the community allows us to keep strengthening our footprint in Bergen County. This particular partnership will also enhance our fan experiences so that when they come to a game at FDU, they are leaving with a memory."

The expanded partnership will introduce several new initiatives designed to enhance the fan experience while creating meaningful opportunities for community engagement.

Beginning this season, FDU and Toyota of Hackensack will launch the Hackensack Community Corner at FDU basketball games, providing tickets for local groups and organizations to attend Knights home contests. The designated seating section will welcome community members to experience FDU Athletics while strengthening ties between the University and its surrounding neighborhoods.

The partnership will also extend beyond campus with the creation of a dedicated FDU-branded wall at the Toyota of Hackensack dealership. The display will celebrate FDU Athletics while also recognizing the community through the inclusion of Hackensack High School memorabilia and imagery. The installation will be unveiled at a later date.

Fans will also have the opportunity to take home exclusive co-branded FDU and Toyota of Hackensack promotional giveaways throughout the year at select athletic events.

In addition, FDU and Toyota of Hackensack will partner to host a youth baseball and softball  clinic on campus for participants from Hackensack Little League. As part of Toyota's continued support of the league, gloves will be distributed to participating youth athletes during the clinics.

The renewed agreement reinforces the shared commitment of FDU Athletics and Toyota of Hackensack to invest in the student-athlete experience, elevate game-day environments and create lasting connections throughout Bergen County.
 
ABOUT FDU ATHLETICS
FDU is home to 23 NCAA Division I teams and 133 NEC Championships. A member of the NEC, the Knights have had tremendous success in the classroom, in athletic competition as well as giving back to the Bergen County community. FDU became the first school in Northeast Conference (NEC) history to win championships in women's volleyball, women's soccer, and men's soccer in the same season (2022). In 2023, the Burgundy and Blue also became the first NEC school to win two games as a 16-seed in the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, including an upset over top-seeded Purdue. In 2025, FDU won four conference championships in the span of 35 days in women's basketball, women's bowling, women's golf, and women's tennis. Off the field, FDU student-athletes were recognized for their efforts in the community by winning the NEC Building Communities Award in 2020, 2024 and 2025. In addition to recent championships, FDU holds five additional national championships, three in sport of women's fencing and two in women's bowling.
