HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU Athletics has entered into a multi-year partnership with FanWord, the leading AI technology and storytelling company in college sports.
Through this collaboration, FDU will implement FanWord Assist, FanWord's AI-powered content creation platform, to expand storytelling across all Knights programs. FanWord Assist is built specifically for college sports communications teams, helping them efficiently produce game recaps, news and feature stories, player bios, transcriptions, award nominations, and more. The platform pairs AI-driven speed with full editorial control, allowing FDU to scale its content output while preserving the voice and brand of Knights athletics.
"We are excited to work with FanWord again through FanWord Assist," said Senior Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Jason Young. "I am looking forward to seeing how our media relations office will utilize FanWord's technology to ensure our student-athletes' stories are told."
With this partnership, Fairleigh Dickinson joins FanWord's growing network of more than 250 athletic organizations using AI-driven tools to meet the demands of modern sports communications. This includes NEC peers Le Moyne, Chicago State, Mercyhurst, and New Haven.
"FDU has given college sports some of its most memorable moments, and this is a department that knows how to capture attention," said Chris Aumueller, CEO of FanWord. "We look forward to helping their staff tell more of the stories behind those moments, across every one of their programs."
In the ever-changing landscape of college sports, storytelling becomes an increasingly central part of recruiting, NIL, fan engagement and alumni connection. FDU's adoption of FanWord Assist reflects a commitment to making sure every Knights student-athlete's story gets told.
