IOWA CITY, Ia – Women's basketball (0-1) opened their season with a loss to No. 3 Iowa (1-0), 102-46.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore forward Lilly Parke led the team as she put up 11 points and 5 rebounds for the Knights.
- Senior forward/center Teneisia Brown had 10 points and 3 rebounds

st Half
- Senior guard Abaigeal Babore went 2-for-3 from the 3-point line and picked up 2 rebounds in the first quarter.
- The Knights put up a game high of 17 points in the first quarter.
- Naismith Women's College Player of the Year, Caitlin Clark, led the way for Iowa with the opening basket and the early first quarter lead. She finished the game with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
- In the second quarter Iowa extended the lead, holding FDU to seven points in the quarter.
- Nickie Carter made her first Division I basket, hitting a three.
- End of the half: Iowa lead 60-24

nd Half
- Parke scored all 11 of her points in the third quarter, shooting 3-for-5 from the 3-point line and pulled in 3 rebounds.
- Freshman guard Bella Toomey put up 5 points and 4 rebounds in the fourth period.
- Iowa closed out the game 102-46.
