MILWAUKEE - The 2021-22 NEC Regular Season Champions are back in action and ready to finish the job. FDU women's basketball tips-off their 2022-23 campaign Monday afternoon at BIG EAST foe Marquette on November 7 at 12 p.m. central, 1 p.m. eastern, marking the third-straight season the Knights have opened the campaign with a BIG EAST team.

Angelika Szumilo, the reigning Northeast Conference Coach of the Year returns the bulk of her squad from last year's championship team which advanced to the WNIT for the first time in program history last season. Projected to make a splash for FDU is
Chloe Wilson, the junior forward from Freeport, N.Y. who was selected to the Preseason All-NEC Team, as announced on October 19 at NEC Basketball Social Media Day.
Selected second in the nine-team NEC, the Burgundy and Blue look to climb to the top slot once again after advancing to the NEC tournament semifinal in each of Szumilo's first three three seasons on the Hackensack.
Veteran leadership is also loud and proud on the Knights' roster with a trio of seniors bolstered by four-year Knights
Celia Carbonell and
Sierra DeAngelo and transfer
Dahomée Forgues, along with fifth-year
Madeline Selvaggi who is expected to make a push on the defensive side of the ball.
Also a WNIT team last season, the Golden Eagles advanced to the third round of the postseason event after a run to the semifinal of the BIG EAST tournament after finishing fifth-place in the league.
Following the battle with Marquette, FDU comes home to Hackensack for a 2 p.m. tilt on Saturday, November 12 live on NEC Front Row from Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center.
