Scouting the Knights

In the second game of the series, the Knights registered a thrilling 79-74 overtime win over the Terriers. FDU's defense ranks second in the NEC in points allowed per contest with an average of only 59.2 in 17 games. The Knights lead the conference in defensive rebound percentage with a 71.2 percentage and are second in assist to turnover ratio at 0.8. Offensively, FDU has averaged 58.8 points per contest and the 79 points against St. Francis Brooklyn were a season-high. Stanley leads the team in points per night with an average of 14.0 and shoots 50.0 percent from the floor. Junior Madeline Selvaggi leads the team in rebounds per game with 5.9 and assists with 3.2. Sophomore Maria Roters averages 10.9 points per night and leads the team in field goal percentage as she shoots 51.8 percent from the floor. Against Mount St. Mary's, Roters also recorded the first triple-double in women's basketball history, dating back to 1990.

Coach Szumilo's Thoughts
"I am very happy for our team to bounce back from yesterday's loss," stated coach Szumilo following the overtime win. "I thought we showed a lot of toughness and perseverance today especially in the overtime without Madison. Maria stepped up huge in those five minutes. That is what she is capable of every game."
"I thought Lindsey, Celia, and Devyn stepped up in ways we needed them to which was to be more aggressive on offense."

What's Next
