SOMERSET, N.J. - The FDU men's track team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2021-22 NEC Indoor Track Preseason Polls released by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Rounding out the poll in order of finish are: Wagner (1), CCSU (2), Mount St. Mary's (3), LIU (4), Saint Francis U (5), Bryant (7), Sacred Heart (8), Merrimack (9) and St. Francis Brooklyn (10).

The Knights opened their indoor season last weekend in Staten Island as they competed in the Bill Ward Invitational at Ocean Breeze Complex. Dominykas Cepys and Salif Mane led the way for the Knights in field events. Mane currently holds the number two spot in the NCAA for triple jump with a 15.76 meter leap and first-place finish on Saturday. Cepys notched a first-place finish in shot put with a 15.76 meter mark.

Freshmen Daniel Chambers and Malik Ricketts made their debut as FDU newcomers. Chambers clinched NEC Rookie of the week following a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash at the Bill Ward Invitational.

The Knights are set to return to competition on January 8 as they travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in the Angry Birds Meet hosted by Lehigh.
