HACKENSACK, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson men's track and field athlete
Taeco O'Garro is the Bogota Savings Bank Knight of the Month.
The sophomore from Saint John's, Antigua has been named NEC Field Athlete of the Week twice this season. He broke the program record in the triple jump on January 18 at the Penn 8-Team Select by leaping a mark of 15.48 meters. That mark leads the NEC and ranks fourth among all IC4A/ECAC Championship qualifiers. The second-year Knight also posted an NEC-leading mark of 7.21 meters in the long jump at the Penn 8-Team Select.
O'Garro rounded out his month by posting first-place finishes in the long jump and the triple jump with marks of 7.13 and 15.21 meters at the MET Championships. He was one of three FDU athletes to be invited to the famous Clemson Invitational on February 15. O'Garro also competes in track events and ranks seventh in the conference in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 6.94. Congratulations to Taeco on being named Bogota Savings Bank Player of the Month for the month of January.
