Coach Szumilo's Thoughts Following Wednesday's Loss vs. SFU
""Credit SFU for their game plan," said coach Szumilo following the loss. "They were the better team in both games. Any loss hurts, but we will use these two games as opportunities for growth. We have to make better decisions on offense as well as get tougher on defense and get stops when we need to get stops."
"I'm proud of our young team as they put up a fight today even though the final score might not indicate so. We could have folded, but we didn't. Had we gotten a couple more stops when we cut it to four halfway through the 3rd quarter, it could have been a different ball game. We are learning a lot about ourselves in these early conference games and we will fix what we need to fix."
What's Next
After the two-game series against CCSU, the Burgundy and Blue will host St. Peter's in their final non-conference contest of the season on Tuesday, December 22 at 7:00 p.m. on NEC Front Row.
