PRINCETON, N.J. - Fairleigh Dickinson freshman Ben Clay III competed in the Larry Ellis Invitational Saturday afternoon, placing eighth overall in the shot put. 

Clay's mark of 14.76 meters secured him a top ten finish, his only event of the day.
