Women's Basketball Returns Home to Face Mount St. Mary's on Saturday

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball hosts its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Saturday against Mount St. Mary's. Tip is set for 2 p.m. inside the Rothman Center.

QUICK HITTERS
The Knights saw their five-game winning streak end at Central Connecticut on Monday night with a 76-56 loss to the Blue Devils.

The loss gave Central Connecticut a series split with the Knights this season. Each team won on its home court--Fairleigh Dickinson, 78-49 on Jan. 15, and Central Connecticut, 76-56 on Feb. 5.

Fairleigh Dickinson seeks a season split with Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. The Mountaineers eeked out a three-point win over the Knights in Emmitsburg back on January 8.

The Knights will try to avoid losing back-to-back games for the third time this season on Saturday.

FDU's next win will be its 15th of the season. The Knights had not won 15 games since the 1992-93 season when they finished 15-12.

SERIES SCORE
The Mountaineers have won four straight meetings--last two by seven total points. The Knights last win in the series came at home, 66-53, back in the 2015-16 campaign.

LAST TIME OUT
Central Connecticut hit 11 3-pointers and held the Knights to 1-of-14 from behind the arc to halt Fairleigh Dickinson's five-game winning streak with a 76-56 win. A trip of Blue Devils were over 19 points, with Andi Lydon's 21 leading the way. Central Connecticut used a 12-2 run spanning the first and second quarters to take a 23-14 lead and not look back. The Knights would get as close as 12, 54-42 when Lauren Francillon hit a baseline jumper to start the fourth. Four Knights were in double figures, led by Francillon's 14 points--added eight rebounds and three blocks. Amina Markovic notched her second double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
