HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball seeks a season sweep of Wagner on Monday night when the Seahawks invade the Rothman Center. Tip is at 8 p.m. and the game will be on ESPN3.
QUICK HITTERS
The Knights fell to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday and lost back-to-back games for the third time this season and first time since December 29 & 31 against Robert Morris and Saint Francis U.
FDU would also look to avoid losing back-to-back games at home since the end of December on Monday night.
The Knights are 6-5 at home, which makes them one of four teams in the NEC, who have a winning record on their home floor.
In the last two games, the Knights have had their two worst shooting days from 3-point range; 1 make at Central Connecticut and 2 versus Mount St. Mary's.
SERIES SCORE
Monday night will be the 73rd meeting all-time between Wagner and Fairleigh Dickinson. Wagner's win last season at Fairleigh Dickinson stopped a streak of three straight by the Knights. FDU won earlier this year on Staten Island. Prior to last season's home loss, the Knights had won four straight inside the Rothman Center against the Seahawks. All-time, FDU is 19-16 at home against Wagner.
LAST TIME OUT
Katrice Dickson hit two free throws with five seconds left to break a 53-53 tie and give Mount St. Mary's a 55-53 win on. Madelynn Comly hit 1-of-2 free throws with 15 seconds left to tie the game for the Knights. The Mount used a 15-3 run in the third quarter to erase the Knights' nine-point halftime advantage and take a 45-41 with 2:30 left in the third. The Knights would take a 47-46 lead into the fourth after a pair of free throws from Lucia Serrano-Ranz, however, that would be the last time that FDU would lead in the game. Eight different Knights scored, which was led by Amina Markovic's 10. Dickson led The Mount and all scorers with 24 points.
