HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A weekend in Western New York to face Niagara (Friday, 7 p.m.) and Buffalo (Sunday, 12 p.m.) is on tap the Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team. 
LAST TIME OUT
Fairleigh Dickinson dropped its second straight 1-0 contest versus La Salle on Sunday at University Stadium. The Explorers got a second half goal to provide the difference despite being outshot 12-4 by the Knights over the full 90 minutes. 
SERIES SCORE
The Knights will face the Purple Eagles for the first time on Friday and the Bulls for the just the second time on Sunday. Fairleigh Dickinson won the first meeting with Buffalo (3-1) back in September of 2004. 
SCOUTING NIAGARA
The Purple Eagles sit at 3-1-1 on the season and are unbeaten (3-0-1) since suffering a season-opening loss at Michigan State, 2-0. Hailey Bicknell and Eva Bachmann have won back-to-back MAAC Offensive Player of the Week awards. Bicknell leads the team with five points (2G, 1A). Both Sabrina Locas and Shania van Nuland have played nearly identical minutes in goal (225 to 245 respectively). Van Nuland is 2-0 on the season, and Locas is 1-1-1. 
SCOUTING BUFFALO
The Bulls will contest Cornell on Friday before hosting the Knights on Sunday afternoon. Buffalo picked up its first win of 2017 with a 5-0 triumph over Youngstown State in their last contest. The three losses have come at Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Canisius. Carissima Cutrona leads the team in points (5) with two goals and an assist. Laura Dougall has played every second in goal and owns a 1.47 GAA, and a .829 save percentage. 
FEWER GOALS
Amanda Fitzgerald lowered her goals against average to 1.79 over the last two contests from 2.31 after allowing only two goals last week. 
AWAY FROM HOME
This weekend starts a four-game stretch of road games for the Knights over the next two weekends. That represents the most time away from University Stadium this season. The Knights do play three straight on the road in Northeast Conference play.
