W. Basketball Finishes Road Swing at Bryant Saturday

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (3-10, 0-2 NEC) wraps up a seven-game road swing with a trip to Bryant (9-4, 2-0 NEC) on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 10. The contest will be the first of a doubleheader with the FDU men's team. NEC Front Row will carry video broadcasts of both.
 
Last Time Out
The Knights finished their out-of-conference slate with a trip to Columbia on Wednesday evening but fell, 72-55, due to a scorching start by the hosts from long range. The Lions opened the contest by shooting 58.3 percent from deep with seven threes while corralling 17 rebounds to the visitors' eight. FDU started the second half out well with a 12-0 run over a five minute span midway through the period but the hosts closed the game out to drop the Knights to their fifth straight loss.

What You Need To Know: The Bulldogs are riding a three-game win streak, including their first two in conference play, in which all games were on the road. Bryant has had an impressive season thus far and its four losses have been by a combined 18 points, with 11 of those coming in the team's first loss of the season – at Boston College. All five Bulldog starters (Jenniqua Bailey, Tiersa Winder, Ivory Bailey, Breanna Rucker, and Morgan Olander) are averaging at least 10 points per game enter Wednesday's game and all rank in the top 18 in the Northeast Conference in scoring. Through two games, Bryant is shooting 45.6 percent from the floor as a team but, similar to its season average, allowing opponents to shoot 43.1 percent.
