HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (3-12, 0-4 NEC) are hoping to snap a seven-game losing skid on Saturday when it hosts Wagner (4-11, 2-2 NEC) at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center. Last Time Out
After arguably the team's finest performance of the season in the tight road loss at Bryant last Saturday, the Knights fell to St. Francis Brooklyn on Monday evening, 72-61, without ever holding a lead. FDU started the second period off on an 11-2 run to cut the deficit to four although the Terriers would hold on. Late in the contest, sophomore Valerie Oyakhilome (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) drilled a three-pointer to get within one of the visitors but St. Francis Brooklyn answered with an 11-2 run of its own over the following two-plus minutes to bring the lead back up to double digits. Senior point guard Amanda Andrades (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) had a team-high 17 points on a career-high 20 field goal attempts to go with five rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes. Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) was held to single-digits for just the third game of the season, and second in the team's last three contests, with nine points, six rebounds, three assists, six blocks, and two steals in 38 minutes.
