W. Soccer Heads to Hartford on Thursday Night

TEANECK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team (5-3-0) is on the road for a Thursday, Sept. 25, evening clash at Hartford (4-1-3). Kickoff from Al-Marzook Field is set for 6 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
The Knights picked up their fifth victory of the 2014 campaign with a 3-0 shutout of Vermont on Friday, Sept. 19. Last week's NEC Co-Player of the Week Amanda Goulet (Quebec City, Quebec/Shattuck-St. Mary's ) netted the eventual game winner before turning provider for Carly Tice (Highland Falls, N.Y./James I. O'Neill ) and Rachel Hoekstra (Bowmanville, Ontario/Clarington Central ), all goals coming in the second half. For her contributions towards the team's fourth clean sheet, junior Kayla Adams (Ajax, Ontario/Pickering ) was named the Northeast Conference Defender of the Week.

What You Need To Know: The Hawks are currently riding an impressive four-game unbeaten streak where they have outscored opponents, 9-4. Thursday night will be just the third home contest of the season for Hartford, where they are 1-0-1. The Hawks have outshot all but one of their opponents this season and it is sophomore Chanel Johnson leading the way with 44 shots, six goals, and one assist. Senior goalkeeper Alison Koerkenmeier has produced 20 saves en route to four shutouts and a 0.75 goals against average but has been replaced in net by sophomore Jessica Jurg over the last two matches.
