HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (2-21, 1-11 NEC) will hope to rebound Saturday afternoon when it hosts Bryant (12-11, 7-5 NEC) in Northeast Conference action as the first part of the FDU Winter Homecoming doubleheader at Stratis Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on NEC Front Row.

Last Time Out
The Knights fell at home to Mount St. Mary's, 88-70, on Monday night after a big offensive second half from the Mountaineers despite sophomore Kelsey Cruz (Chester, Va./Lloyd C. Bird) matching a career high with 31 points. Cruz hit 15-of-15 shots from the free throw line and is now hitting a ridiculous 95 percent of her freebies. Senior Desiree Crawford (Aurora, Ontario/Cardinal Carter Catholic) was the only other Knight to score over 10 points in what turned out to be a poor shooting performance for the entire team. FDU shot 34.9 percent as a team and were outrebounded 38-30. On the bright side, the Knights continue to manage their turnovers, this time only 13, while assisting each other 15 times throughout the contest.

Bryant
2013-14 Season: 12-11 (7-5 NEC)
When: Saturday, Feb. 15 - 3:30 p.m.
Where: Hackensack, N.J. (Stratis Arena)
Series History: Bryant leads 5-4
Last Meeting: Jan. 4, 2014 - Bryant 77 FDU 63
What You Need To Know: FDU lost their opening NEC game in Rhode Island mainly in part to the outstanding duo of Bryant's senior forward Naana Ankoma-Mensa (24 points, 14 rebounds) and graduate student Meredith Soper (19 points, eight rebounds). All five starters average double figures in scoring and three are excellent rebounders. The Bulldogs are also very experienced with only one starter, Breanna Rucker, being a non-senior or graduate student. However, the rotation is pretty shallow. Since conference play has begun, all five starters are averaging at least 30 minutes per contest. Only one other Bulldog, senior Stephanie Cardamone, averages over 10 minutes

Up Next
