BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's tennis team concluded its regular season with an 8-1 victory over Concordia, the No. 48 ranked team in Division II, 8-1 on Tuesday. With the victory, the Knights improve to 8-6 on the season, while the Clippers fall to 14-4 overall.

FDU took an early 3-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches, with each counting as a point in Division II instead of one doubles' point. At No. 1, senior Anna Rapoport (Moscow, Russia/#1239 ) and freshman Nicole Chis (Highland Park, N.J./Highland Park) defeated the nation's No. 24 duo of Luisa Candido and Yuliya Plevako, 8-4.

Senior Egzona Morina (Prishtina, Kosovo/American School of Kosovo) and freshman Celine Maier (Nuremberg, Germany /Bertolt-Brecht-Schule Nuremberg) also won 8-4 at No. 2 over Linda Eliasson and Ana Mendes. Sophomore Dina Guzairova (Sochi, Russia/Chelyabinsk #8 ) and junior Manuela Lema completed the sweep with an 8-2 victory at No. 3 over Alla Kravchuk and Camilla Xavier.

The Knights won five of the six singles matches in straight sets, with their only defeating coming in three sets at No. 3.

FDU will return to action on Friday, April 19 when it plays the winner of the Robert Morris/Monmouth match at the Northeast Conference Championships. The top-seeded Knights will play their quarterfinal match sometime after 9 a.m.
