Lim Named NEC Female Team Student-Athlete of the Year

BRIDGEWATER, N.J.- FDU tennis' Anastasia Lim is bringing another major accolade home to Teaneck, winning the NEC's Female Team Student-Athlete of the Year Award. This award is the most distinguished and highest regarded individual award an athlete can attain at the conference level in the NEC.

Lim becomes the third Knight to receive this prestigious honor. She joins fellow FDU women's tennis alumni Julia Prantl ('12) and FDU baseball alum Evan McDonald ('19) in this exclusive group of FDU student-athletes.

Lim's latest award comes as a culmination to a historic season for her. The senior spent her final season with the Knights at the top flight, finishing her campaign with a 15-14 singles record and a 14-15 doubles finish. Her exemplary play powered her to the NEC Women's Tennis Player of the Year honor, as well as the All-Tournament Team selection.

As a seasoned veteran and leader on the team, the senior helped guide the squad through a long season to a spot in the NEC Championship for the second straight season.

Off the hard courts, Lim's academic success shined bright as well. She wrapped up her FDU tenure by graduating with a 3.92 GPA alongside summa cum laude distinction.

FDU baseball's Jeremy Cheeseman was a finalist for the NEC Men's Team Student-Athlete of the Year Award
