Both teams shot 31 percent over the first 20 minutes and combined to go 6-of-22 from three-point range, with FDU going 2-for-10. The Knights outrebounded the Bobcats, 28-25, but turned the ball over nine times, while Quinnipiac committed four turnovers.

FDU pulled down a season-high 51 rebounds to win the battle on the glass, 51-44.
The Bobcats made 15-of-22 free throws in the second half and made 16-of-26 for the game, while the Knights went 7-for-9. However, the Knights forced only nine turnovers, scoring four points, and were outscored in the paint, 28-18.
Sophomore Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) led FDU with 10 points and 10 rebounds to pick up her 15th double-double of the season. Monmouth and FDU play the same teams each weekend in conference play. The Hawks lost at Mount St. Mary's (70-51) and won at Wagner (81-64), while the Knights took care of business at both places. Both sides defeated Robert Morris and lost to Saint Francis University at home, but Monmouth won its games at LIU Brooklyn (63-62) and St. Francis Brooklyn (68-64), while FDU fell at home to LIU and on the road at St. Francis.
The Hawks played a tough nonconference slate, traveling to Washington State, Gonzaga, and No. 4 Duke, while hosting Georgetown. Monmouth and FDU played one common opponent in nonconference action, both defeating Manhattan.
The Hawks are led by senior guard Alysha Womack, who averages 15.1 points per game, while shooting a team-high 42.9 percent (78-of-182) from the field. The Preseason All-Northeast Conference selection missed the final two games of nonconference play and the first two games of conference play and made her return against Robert Morris, coming off the bench. Monmouth holds a 47-23 advantage, while the Knights have gone 3-7 under Head Coach Pete Cinella, including two wins on the road. Each team won on the road last season in back-to-back meetings, which were part of Northeast Conference Rivalry Week. In the first contest on Feb. 11, 2012, FDU won, 72-64, but four days later, the Hawks returned the favor with a 64-60 victory.
In the first meeting at Monmouth, Mariyah Laury (Orange, NJ/Orange) scored an FDU record 42 points by going 16-for-28 from the field and 10-for-12 from the free-throw line. Laury's point total broke the FDU program record that she set during the 2010-11 season at Wagner with 38 points. The 42 points tied her for third in the all-time NEC record books, and broke the arena record at the Multipurpose Activity Center.
Trailing 30-26 at the half, the Knights began the second half with a 13-2 run, while holding Monmouth to no field goals over the first six minutes to lead 43-28 with 14 minutes left in the game.
In the final five minutes, Monmouth's offense surged to produce a seven-point run that cut the FDU advantage to five points, 60-55, with two minutes on the clock, but Laury sealed the win for FDU with three made free throws and two fast-break layups in the final two minutes of play.
