With under 30 seconds remaining on January 10 in Hackensack, Mariyah Laury (Orange, NJ/Orange) hit a clutch jump-shot to give bring the score to 53-52 in favor of FDU. With the Bobcats in possession, Danielle Pankey (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) forced a turnover and was fouled. She sank two-of-two free-throws to end the game with a final score of 55-52.
When playing in Hamden, the Knights fell 75-56. The difference in the game was rebounding as the Bobcats crushed the Knights on the glass, 54-29, including 16 on the offensive glass that led to 14 second chance points.
Northeast Conference action heads into Rivalry Weekend following the QU game. The Knights will travel to Monmouth on Saturday, Feb. 11 and host the Hawks on Wednesday, the 15th.
