HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team will travel to nationally-ranked Penn State on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tipoff at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa.

Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) picked up her fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Redshirt junior
Danielle Pankey (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) also had 16 point as FDU had its first halftime lead of the season and out-rebounded its opponent for the first time. FDU held a 34-33 rebounding edge including a 12-10 advantage on the offensive glass. For the third game in a row FDU turned the ball over fewer times than an opponent with 15 turnovers to Manhattan's 16.
Through five contests, Livermore leads the way with 14.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, while shooing a team-best 52.8 percent (28-of-53) from the floor. Pankey is averaging 13.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game to go along with 2.4 thefts per contest.
Penn State (No. 6 AP Poll/No. 7 USA Today Coaches Poll) is coming off its first loss of the season, a 69-65 defeat at Miami on Thursday evening in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Before the loss, the Nittany Lions were winners of five straight with victories over Howard (62-51), Texas A&M (63-58), Lafayette (75-34), Detroit (80-72) and Cal State Northridge (85-73).
PSU is picked to win the Big Ten and is led by junior guard Maggie Lucas, who is the reigning Big Ten Player of the Week. She is averaging a team-best 21.3 points per game and is shooting a blistering 53.1 percent (17-of-32) from three-point range. Senior guard Alex Bentley is averaging 13.3 points per game and leads the team with 26 assists and 26 steals. Redshirt senior forward Mia Nickson adds 9.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, while senior center Nikki Greene chips in 8.3 points and a team-high 8.5 rebounds per game to go along with a team-best seven blocked shots.
The Knights and the Nittany Lions will be meeting for only the second time in the all-time series. The only contest took place on Dec. 5, 1980, which saw PSU claim a 106-66 victory at the Pitt Invitational.
Following the game against Penn State, FDU will return home for a home contest against NJIT on Wednesday, Dec. 5. Tipoff at Stratis Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m.
