Women's Basketball Heads to Connecticut for Final Series of Regular Season

The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (14-13, 7-9 NEC) will look to keep the momentum flowing as they take on Quinnipiac University on Saturday, February 26.  Tip-off in Hamden, Connecticut is slated for 12:00 pm.

The Knights fresh off a win over the Colonials of Robert Morris on Monday, February 21.  FDU was led by 24 points from junior Mariyah Laury (Orange, NJ/Orange).  Laury was named the Northeast Conference/Choice Hotels Player of the Week for her performance in the RMU game and the Knights' win over first-place Saint Francis PA.

Laury's big scoring combined with 12 points from junior Jasmyra Saunders (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Catholic), 11 from red-shirt freshman Danielle Pankey (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) and 10 from senior Alyssa Mayrose (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) helped the Knights inch one game closer to the NEC tournament.

Quinnipiac comes into the contest 13-14 on the season with a 10-6 record in the NEC.  Most recently, they defeated Bryant, 81-67, in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

This will be the 25th meeting between the Bobcats and the Knights. Prior to this season, Quinnipiac had taken the win in 20 of 23 contests including three-straight wins. On January 10, the Knights defeated the Bobcats, 55-52 at the Rothman Center.

The Knights will conclude the regular season at Sacred Heart on Monday, February 28.  Tip-off with the Pioneers is scheduled for 7:00 pm and will be streamed live on the NEC Pack Network.
