Junior Liat Vizenfeld claimed her fifth Northeast Conference Bowler of the Week honors (in as many chances), the conference announced on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

It's a New Year, but fortunately for the Knights it was the same old Vizenfeld when FDU returned to action after a six-week hiatus. Powering the Knight to a first-place finish and a perfect 13-0 record at Bowie State's Fred Underwood Classic, the veteran anchor bowler averaged 21.02 pins per frame. She was at her best during Saturday's traditional team matches. Her 218.0 traditional average topped the tournament's individual leaderboard. Her weekend high was a 243-pin performance in a win over Chowan. Vizenfeld did most of her damage with her strike ball, cashing in on 54.9 percent of her attempts. She posted a .850 overall filled frames percentage over the course of the three-day event.
