Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball standout Sidney Sanders Jr. was named the Choice Hotels/Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Sanders Jr. is now a two-time Choice Hotels/NEC Player of the Week award winner following a career-high 31-point performance in FDU's 86-67 win over Hofstra on Sunday, Jan. 5. The senior also added four rebound and seven assists, and shot 8-of-15 from the field and 13-of-17 from the charity stripe, both career bests from the charity stripe.

He has now scored 20 or more points in six of his last seven games and is averaging 23.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game over that stretch. Sanders Jr., a Charleston, S.C. product, ranks second in the NEC in scoring (19.6), fifth in assists (4.9) and third in steals (1.6).
