Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union Named Women's Basketball Post-Season Sponsor

HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU Athletics in conjunction with Peak Sports MGMT and Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union announced a partnership that will see the Credit Union become the official post-season sponsor of the FDU Knights' women's basketball program throughout the NEC tournament, and any further post-season play.

The Knights have completed an undefeated NEC regular season for the second-straight season, and now enter the post-season looking to "defend the crown" and repeat as NEC Champions.

"Greater Alliance is proud to stand alongside the FDU athletic program," stated Glenn Guinto, Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union President/CEO. "For more than eight decades, we've supported our community and helped our neighbors pursue their goals. These athletes have achieved something truly extraordinary, and we're excited to cheer them on."

The Knights are one of just three teams in the nation to go undefeated in conference play this season, joining No. 1 UConn, and No. 2 UCLA. The unblemished regular season earned the Knights the #1 seed in the 2026 NEC Tournament, which will begin on Monday night.

Greater Alliance is a forward-thinking and growing credit union built upon more than 85 years of commitment to members, community and service. Greater Alliance was founded in 1937 when five dedicated educators chartered, what was then known as Central Bergen Teacher's Federal Credit Union. The organization began to expand its field of membership in the mid-1980s under the sanction of the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) to include a diverse mix of employee groups and associations – and became known as Central Bergen Federal Credit Union.

From that humble beginning in 1937, established primarily for the purpose of serving teachers and their immediate families, we expanded our field of membership in February of 2005 and changed our name to Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union. Today, Greater Alliance has grown into a premier community credit union in NJ, owned by its over 20,000 members and is fully committed to the financial well-being of the families, businesses and communities where we serve.

Greater Alliance is also the presenting sponsor of FDU Baseball, and has partnered with FDU for their annual day of service in years past.
