HAVERFORD, Penn. - Eight members of the FDU fencing team competed in the NCAA Regional Tournament inside the Haverford College Alumni Field House throughout the day on Saturday. 

All three members of the FDU Epee squad qualified for the regional tournament, as Lauren Colella, Sherleen Yunes, and Isabel You all competed for FDU in the first round of the Regional Tournament. All three Knights battled hard but all of which fell in the opening round of the regional. 

Gabriela Como and Genesis Pena were two members of the FDU Foil squad also qualified for regional action, but were bested in the opening round, having their seasons come to a close in Haverford. Zoe Rupp was another member of the Knights team that was eliminated after the first round in the Saber section of the tournament. 

Sára Szeverenyi advanced to the second round of the tournament after getting through the first round with a handful of wins. In the second round, Szeverenyi battled hard, but her season eventually would come to an end in the second round of the Regional Tournament. 

The Knight that was the star of the show Saturday afternoon was Carmen Bolt-Turner. Bolt-Turner went a flawless 5-0 in the opening round of the Saber section to cruise into the second round, where she battled amongst some of the nation's best, and was able to qualify for the third round of the tournament, being the Knight to make it the furthest at regionals.

Bolt-Turner's season came to a close after a great bout in the third round, which officially concludes the 2025-26 FDU Fencing season.
