Women's Basketball Continues NEC Play in the Windy City

CHICAGO, ILL. – FDU women's basketball (11-4, 2-0) continues their opening stretch of NEC play, travelling to face Chicago State (1-14, 0-2) on Thursday, January 8.
 
THE BASICS
LAST TIME OUT
  • FDU completed a successful two-game road trip to Pennsylvania, defeating both Mercyhurst and Saint Francis U.
  • Rebecca Osei-Owusu had a stellar weekend for the Knights, highlighted by a 17 point, ten rebound double-double.
  • The Knights' weekend was capped by a 73-28 rout of Saint Francis. The 28 points FDU held the Red Flash to is the lowest total allowed to a Division I opponent this season.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
  • Chicago State enters the matchup with a 1-14 record, and a 0-2 record in conference play. 
  • The Cougars are led by Aiyanna Culver, who averages a team-high 12.8 PPG. Culver was unanimously selected to the Preseason All-NEC team.
  • The Cougars were picked to finish third in the 2025-26 NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
