HACKENSACK, N.J.- The FDU Knights (2-3) recorded their second win of the season in a 3-2 win over St. Thomas Aquinas (2-6). The Knights pick up their second consecutive win as
Laydon Biro and
Dylan McFadden each tabulated double digit kills for the third consecutive contest.

The Spartans took the first four points, before
Michael Ogorzalek put FDU on the board as the Knights trailed early 4-2.
Andrew Michael spurred a 4-0 run by the Knights, which was culminated by a
Dylan McFadden kill to even the score, 8-8.Â
Down 13-10, Biro accounted for three of the next five points to give the Knights their first lead 15-13. The Knights did not trail again in the initial set.Â
John Petrucci recorded the last Knight kill of the set with an assist from
Brandon Pho. The Knights took set one 25-23.Â

The Spartans started the set hot, jumping out to a 6-2 advantage. Errors by the visitors kept FDU in the set, along with kills by Ogorzalek and McFadden to trim the deficit to three, 11-8.Â
The Spartans strung together two point runs late in the set to end the set 25-19.Â

Trailing 2-0, the Knights rattled off five points, including a McFadden service ace to jump ahead 5-2. After the visitors logged another kill, FDU ripped off six more points including two Biro kills and an Ogorzalek service ace. The Knights extended their lead  11-3.Â
With the visitors finding their footing,
Andrew Michael put down a kill to keep the Knights ahead by four, 19-15.
A late spurt by the Spartans tied the contest 22-22. The teams would exchange set-tying points before Biro and McFadden ended the set 27-25.

Ogorzalek fired in the first kill of the set, before the Knights gave up a three point run. However, the Knights evened the score early 3-3 with two kills.Â
Down 9-7, Pho and McFadden teamed up for consecutive points as FDU tied the contest 9-9.Â
The set remained back-and-forth, with FDU unable to retake a lead. With a 23-22 lead late, the visitors scored two of the final three points to outlast the Knights 25-23.

After exchanging points early, a block from Pho and Michael put FDU ahead 6-5. Following a visitor service error, Pho and Ogorzalek recorded a block to bring the Knights ahead 8-6 as the teams switched sides.
Biro deflected an attack for his first solo block of the season, inflating the Knights' lead 11-8.Â
With a 14-11 lead, the Spartans roared back into the contest with a three point run to tie the contest 14-14.Â
Petrucci set McFadden up for the game winning kill, as the Knights won the final set 18-16.  Â
