NORTH EASTON, Mass. – Stonehill (9-5, 7-0) handed FDU (3-11, 2-5) an 18-6 loss on Wednesday afternoon. The win continues the Skyhawks' unbeaten streak in conference play.
Stonehill led 5-1 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. They were able to extend their lead to 11-3 at halftime. The Knights responded with two unanswered goals at the start of the third period, but Stonehill put to rest any thought of an FDU comeback with three-straight goals of their own.
Four notable streaks continued for the Knights today.
Adriana Mavlios pushed her point-streak to ten games with a goal and an assist. Sophomore
Karly Dillabough scored her team leading 24
th and 25
th goals of the season, while extending her goal-streak to nine games.
Brielle McInaw extended her goal-streak to six games with one tally and
Riley Eaton cashed in two for her fifth-straight game with a goal. Eaton has scored 13 goals in FDU's last five outings.
