BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The Northeast Conference announced their weekly honors for the outdoor track and field season on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights were represented by
Nilaja Wiltshire, who was named the NEC Field Athlete of the Week.
Wiltshire picks up the award following a historic week at the Rutgers Relays. She threw for a distance of 15.51m in the women's shot put, tying for first place. Her 15.51m mark shattered an FDU program record. The Phillipsburg, N.J. native also placed third in the hammer throw, and seventh in the discus during the meet.
WIltshire was also joined by teammates Xavier Hayletts and Jashad Kersey, as all three were named NEC Prime Performers for their efforts during the week.
The Knights will next be in action at the Penn Relays during the weekend of April 25. Wiltshire will be competing in the shot put at the meet, throwing on Saturday, April 26.
