BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The Northeast Conference announced their first weekly honors of the Outdoor Track and Field season on Wednesday afternoon. FDU was represented by Nilaja Wiltshire, who was named the NEC Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Wiltshire picks up the honor following FDU's opening meet of their outdoor season in the Fred Hardy Invitational. The sophomore finished first in the shot put, recording a distance of 14.58m. 

Wiltshire also had a solid showing in the discus throw, placing seventh in the meet with a distance of 33.38m. The FDU star will look to continue what has been a remarkable sophomore campaign. In the indoor season, Wiltshire was an NEC champion in the shot put, and was named the Thrower of the Meet at the Northeast Conference Championships. 

The Knights will be back in action on March 28, when they compete in the Monmouth Season Opener.
