TEANECK, N.J. - FDU men's tennis moved to 4-0 in conference play with a 6-1 victory over Wagner om Friday. The Knights are now 7-0 overall and 2-0 at home.
FDU won all three doubles matches to secure the point.
Thomas Linley and
Gryffin Minor won 6-3 at #1.
Joshua Oboniye and
Andrew Nicolae won by the same score at #2. Taurus Mickus and
Tze En Gareth Ong finished it up with a 6-1 victory on their court.
Oboniye dominated the first set and the finished off a 6-1, 7-5 victory on the top court.
Gryffin Minor fell 5-7, 6-3, 1-6 at #2.
Thomas Linley continued his hot streak with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at #3. He has won four-straight at that part of the lineup.
Taurus Mickus won 6-2, 6-4 at #4. Mickus is 9-1 this season.
Asaf Schwartz won by forfeit (6-1, 4-6, 3-) at #5. Schwartz has won three of his last four matches.
Jorge Alonso-Cortes outlasted his opponent in a 6-4, 7-5, 10-5 win at #6. That is his 13
th win of the year.
